I’m Shivani Mittal — dedicated to transforming lives with compassionate counselling.

Hello, I’m Shivani Mittal, a registered PACFA counsellor with over five years of experience in mental health counselling. I work with individuals and couples to navigate life’s challenges, heal from trauma, and manage anxiety, depression, and stress — while fostering stronger, healthier relationships.

My approach combines solid theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience, allowing me to offer therapy that is both holistic and compassionate.

In addition to counselling, I am a qualified Mediator and currently undertaking training as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP). This equips me with specialised skills to resolve disputes and address complex family and relationship dynamics with clarity and care.

My Journey and Cultural Perspective

Originally from India and now based in Australia, I grew up in a close-knit joint family — an experience that deeply shaped my understanding of how culture influences relationships, mental health, and emotional well-being.

My own life journey — navigating love, marriage, and parenthood, as well as coping with grief and loss — gives me a genuine, empathetic insight into the challenges my clients face. Having been with my partner since the age of 18, I understand both the joys and the complexities of sustaining love and individuality over time. Now, as I raise a young family, I personally relate to the delicate balance between personal needs, family responsibilities, cultural expectations, and life’s transitions.
